MINISTER OF ECONOMY: EXPOM HAS ITS GREAT SHARE IN THE EXPORT DYNAMICS TO THE CHALLENGING WESTERN MARKET
On 3.04.2014 the Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński visited the headquarters of Expom, the manufacturer of equipment for the marine, offshore and energy industry. During the visit the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the company for building the image of Poland as an innovative country, having valuable export capital.
Expom has received the trust of the Ministry of Economy for many years, the confirmation of which is the long-term cooperation expressed by common international trade fair meetings and economic missions. The meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechociński was aimed at discussing further possibilities of cooperation, in particular in the context of offshore and energy sector.
- Today Expom is one of the most modern companies in the region, using state-of-the-art technologies, owing to which nearly 100% of the production is exported. I'm glad that the company has its share in great commerce dynamic on such demanding Western markets - said the Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechociński at the meeting.
The Minister of Economy emphasized that he hopes that during the visit in the commune of Kurzętnik he will have a chance to see how, with the use of experience of local human resources, a global company, so the one which not only manufactures professional equipment but also wins prestigious international certificates, can be created.
- Dynamic development of the company is the result of numerous investments in human resources and process facilities. Only in 2013 the company allocated PLN 3 m for the development of infrastructure and the machine park - said Rafał Domżalski, the company CEO.
During the meeting the Deputy Prime Minister participated in the presentation of the latest equipment manufactured at the order of a company from Denmark. Telescope crane HSCT 350 with the weight of 32 t, executed in the EX version (explosion version), is manufactured with the intended use for the offshore platform. This crane is certified by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), a prestigious Norwegian classification association.
- It's the first time in the history of the company that we hosted a person of such a high rank as the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy. This is the confirmation for us that we can be a rightly-entitled partner for high level discussions and we can constitute a significant voice of the Polish industry, in particular the industry open to foreign markets - the President of the Management Board of Expom added after the visit.
The meeting was also attended by Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province Governor Marian Podziewski and the administrator of the commune of Kurzętnik Wojciech Dereszewski
