PERSPECTIVES AND CONDITIONS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE SMALL WIND POWER INDUSTRY MARKETS IN POLAND
According to the report ordered by the Kurzętnik-based Expom S.A. company from the Renewable Energy Institute, this market is in its early phase of growth. It faces many challenges, but also has great perspectives and development opportunities. The most promising group of consumers are the farmers. At present, there only are a few companies that manufacture professional and proven MEW elements, and here Expom S.A. sees the opportunity for themselves, in order to start, in accordance with the chosen strategy, production of the MEW elements in collaboration with an experienced foreign partner.
The most important barrier to the development is a lack of supporting system, adjusted to the needs of the market, and the possibilities for financing execution of that type of projects. In addition, there are no regulatory mechanisms determining the principles for connection of the MEWs to the power networks, or the tariffs for the turbine generated energy storage in the network.
